Cookies Policy

1. What we use

Navis Fleet keeps its use of cookies and local storage deliberately minimal. We do not run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking. The categories below describe everything the platform currently sets in your browser.

2. Strictly necessary

  • Authentication session — when you sign in, the customer portal stores your authenticated session locally so you stay signed in across page loads. Removing it signs you out.
  • Language preference — the interface language you pick (English / French) is stored locally so the platform opens in your chosen language.
  • Layout preferences — small UI choices such as whether the operations sidebar is collapsed are stored locally so the app remembers them.

These are required for the platform to function and cannot be disabled while you are using it.

3. Progressive Web App storage

The customer portal installs a service worker that caches static assets so the app loads quickly and continues to work in low-connectivity conditions — a real requirement for field use in Africa. This is cached content, not tracking data.

4. Payments

When you pay an invoice, you are briefly redirected to our payment partner CinetPay. CinetPay may set its own cookies on its own domain during that flow; see the CinetPay privacy notice for details.

5. What we do not use

  • No advertising cookies.
  • No third-party analytics that profile individual visitors.
  • No cross-site or social-media tracking pixels.

6. Managing cookies

You can clear cookies and local storage at any time from your browser settings. Doing so will sign you out of the customer portal and reset your language / layout preferences.
